If you do, your being robbed.
This stick is an ok effort by madcatz. I have only had mine for a few days, so if the washer problem is on my stick I have not noticed. If the washer problem is indeed only on a small portion of the sticks then this is a very good buy for a casual fighting game fan. That said, you may want to wait till new batches are shipped. I'm spending the 50 dollars and ordered all sanwa parts for this stick, (I bought a Hori for myself, this is for my girlfriend and others. I'm still getting sanwa buttons for the Hori)which is almost a must if your serious about your gear. Opening the stick voids the warranty, so beware.

The stock stick and buttons are responsive enough for casual players. The buttons are quite mushy, but they work. The stick is responsive enough that you wont notice it hindering your play, but its not the best, as you should expect for the price point.

This is a 70-80 dollar stick (if it works), dont pay more than that. If you replace all the parts with sanwa, you have the TE stick for less.

This review may "sound" negative but I am quite pleased with this stick (if it lasts till my sanwa parts come.) Compared to a controller this thing is like jesus himself coming down and controlling your hands. You can do a hundred shoryukens in a row, either direction without screwing up. I just worry about the people who arent modding it and may end up having problems down the road with the durability of the product.Rating: 4 / 5

There have been a TON of these sticks that do not work straight out of the box or will break after a day or two of play. My stick did not work straight out of the box. There is a metal washer that grinds away the circuit board on the joystick as you move the joystick around in a circle, so by playing on the stick you are actually slowly destroying it. MadCatz has not answered any of my emails, even though they claim they will fix the problem.

I have bought six different arcade sticks for a variety of systems. This MadCatz stick is the first stick that was complete garbage straight out of the box.Rating: 1 / 5

This think sucks. First the joystick was a little iffy registering when I tilted it up. Then one button started to go and another followed. First I waste $55 only to get 2 days of use out of it then I had to waste another $20 on shipping to return the thing. Don't waste your money on this. After I returned it I bought the Tournament Edition stick. Made of real arcade parts, the stick and buttons are a lot smoother and responsive. I just wish I bought it first. Don't go cheap. The standard edition isn't even an option.Rating: 1 / 5

The stick looks n feels good. Sadly the roundhouse or third button on bottom doesn't work. Returned and recieved a new one but had exact same issue. Returned both. Amazon hasn't credited my acct yet either. Did order tournament edition after these. Tournament edition is great. Much better feel. Not as cheap as $70 one. Much happier.Rating: 1 / 5

It took me a few listens to actually catch on to this little gem
Being a huge Ratt fan back in the days of big hair,I had to buy this as soon as I saw it,since it's Stephen Pearcy singing and Fred from Cinderella on drums
I was expecting a mixture of Ratt and Cinderella and didn't find that at all,I was a bit disappointed so I sold my cassette copy, end of story, right? Nope,I found a few of the songs online and listened to them after many years since selling my cassette copy and I found myself kicking myself, this is darn good rock and roll
actually much more serious than Ratt or even Cinderella
the stuff is much more based in straight ahead in your face classic rock then glammed up catchy tunes
don't get me wrong, these songs will have you tapping your foot but it is a far cry from 'round and round'
this is much more similar to 'Little Caesar' or 'Badlands' or even 'Black Crowes' it's really great and I do highly recommend it
there are really no stand out single songs (except the amazing Cry No More' which is in my opinion up there with Stairway To HEaven (no I'm not kidding,it's very similar)
but the songs all flow nicely and it's a total rock experience
meant to be played loud and I think best suited for a long road trip, pop this in your CD player and crank it up
this is some fine and tasty rock and roll performed by seasoned veterans
led by the amazing vocal skills of Stephen Pearcy

the upside - great in your face rock and roll from start to finish,it definitely grows on you the more you listen...and 'Cry No More' is one of the best songs I've ever heard from anyone,period...well worth the price of admission alone

the downside - no great singles (except the one) and unless you listen to it over and over you will forget the songs pretty quickly but it's worth having for when you want great rock that you don't need to think too much about (but the last song 'mother blues' is not very good but the rest are great)

the bottom line - a great classic rock album start to finish,and worthy of anyone's CD collection...donutman says so!!!Rating: 3 / 5

but, they have a different singer and guitarist. I have not heard any of the music with Jon Corabi singing...I am sure it sucks!! Long live the original line up! Arcade is RATT reincarnated.Rating: 5 / 5

Arcade was a project put together by Ratt vocalist Stephen Pearcy and Cinderella drummer Fred Coury at the final days of the hair metal era. The band was spandex free by this time, but the music still had a lot in common with Pearcy and Coury's previous bands. Arcade wasn't as sleazy as Ratt or as bluesy as Cinderella, instead taking a melodic, middle of the road hard rock approach. It's actually pretty decent stuff if you're into this kind of music (and you know I am). It takes advantage of the strengths of that era's hard rock and does away with the ridiculous excess.

Had it been released a few years earlier this band and album would have been well received, but 1993 proved to be just a bit too late to try and start a new hard rock venture. Grunge took over and this kind of melodic rock was pushed to the back burner. Arcade managed to issue another album (A/2) and a compilation (A/3: Live & Unreleased), but this party was more or less over before it had a chance to get started.

I'd still recommend Arcade to just about any fan of the 80's hair metal and melodic rock scenes. It's probably not as memorable or over the top as the average Ratt or Cinderella album, but Arcade is still a very solid melodic hard rock album that's well worth checking out.Rating: 4 / 5

I've recently given this album another try, just to make sure that 12 years after its release it still sucked. Just to confirm, it does indeed suck, majorly. It's comparable to dental surgery, visits from your mother-in-law and hard punches to your testicles.

If you liked Ratt (which I most certainly do) you won't like Arcade. "Why?!?!?" you ask?
1. The music is like Ratt, only with the same singer and worse musicians, and the lead singer seems to be recovering from a massive hangover the afternoon they recorded the album
2. The songs must have all been leftover from 80s Ratt albums that "didn't make it" - and now we know why they didn't...
3. Sounds like Stephen Pearcy was at about 12 packs of cigarettes a day when they recorded this piece of crap

Overall Rating = 1 undeserved star. I would have given it a "zero" star rating, but that is not allowed on this site.

If you are thinking of purchasing this album - STOP RIGHT THERE! Save your money and go have yourself checked out for a brain misfunction. If you really want to hear an over-the-hill rocker singing songs about "all the chicks that got away" and "my hair stands up without spray", head to your local county fair - I'm sure there you'll find "Arcade" among the carnies and cow poop.
