  1. this is nice and compact with alot of games….this looks better on tube type TVs…on the new LCD and Plasma the video quality seems poor….this is a really fun thing to bring along at partys Rating: 4 / 5

  2. My husband bought me this a few weeks ago to cheer me up, and we’ve played with it almost every night since! The joystick sometimes seems to take a fraction too long to respond, but it’s still great fun. We’re not usually competitive people, but we’ve had a lot of fun challenging each other and always get excited when one of us beats the high score. Pac-Man seems to run a bit faster than I remember it being on my old Atari back in the day, but that’s not much of a complaint. I’ve also noticed my hand-eye coordination improving lately, which is kind of neat. I think it’s a really great gift idea. Rating: 5 / 5

  3. First the software. The unit is great is this respect. The games are true to the originals, and the front end to choose the 12 games is made in a nice matching style. Great thing is this games stores highscores, where most original cabinets lost these when the games were powered off. One of the best ways to gain a legal working PCB with the (almost) original arcade games!

Then the hardware. The toy is a great upgrade from the first pacman and ms pacman toy. The stick is more solid and the buttons look real. But there is one big mistake. The joystick must be on the left, and the fire buttons on the right! And those buttons are too stiff. So forget beating any Galaga high score on this. Firing the bullets will kill your left arm. It needs right arm muscles and good training to score reasonable. So the best thing to do with this toy is buy a real arcade joystick, 3 real arcade buttons, built yourself a nice stand up arcade cabinet, grab an old TV and put the things together with this toys PCB in the cab. Then this toy really becomes legendary! Rating: 4 / 5

  4. This plug and play game contains several other pacman games along with other classic spaceship games, etc. Very, very addictive and provides hours of good, old-fashioned, non-violent play. The only problem I have is that the pacman board doesn’t change. For this reason you might want to look for a Ms. pacman game to have a greater variety (of boards/levels). Rating: 4 / 5

  5. The Retro Arcade PacMan is more difficult than the arcade version. Or, my reflexes are not quiet as good! But, I have spent hours on this game, and it is very fun. There are also other games, like a Space Invader type, which is also enjoyable to play. Because it was purchased before the holiday, the price was more than can be purchased at another time of the year. I just found that it was out of stock at those stores. Rating: 5 / 5
