  1. It was a great deal and the controller works fine. The only issue I had was with bomberman, it required a purchase and wouldnt update. I didn’t mind, though. Rating: 4 / 5

  2. fun little grab bag of games. They are quick hit arcade games that pack a lot of fun for hours. Great value in that you also get a wireless controller. Rating: 4 / 5

  3. I recently purchased this for around $35 on sale. I would give this a 5 star rating but it only gets a 4 due to hassle.

Prior to the purchase I read reviews about the Bomberman issue. As soon as I opened this, I tried out Bomberman using the DVD. It didn’t work. However, I already purchased Bomberman a year ago and it still didn’t work when using the game DVD.

I called up Microsoft and after 1 hour they gave me 800 points. I finally convinced them that they gave me a crappy product that didn’t work. So, they forked over the value of the game which was 800 points.

I ended up paying about $35 for a wireless controller, Lumines, Geometry Wars 2, Ms Pacman, a broken Bomberman (which may get fixed some day through a MS patch), and 800 pts. This was a steal of a deal for me.

    Pros:

-Great deal if you catch it on sale around $35

    -Black controller works as expected

-Lumines and Geometry Wars 2 are fun

-Get 800 points…don’t need to use them on Bomberman if you don’t want (may not work for everyone)

    Cons:

-Lumines and Geo Wars 2 play off of the DVD…even if you install them to your hard drive…very annoying

    -Ms Pacman is incredibly lame

-You have to spend time on phone to get the 800 points

    FINAL VERDICT

Great deal for me. Get it if/when it goes on sale. I ended up with about $80 worth of products for about $35 after tax/shipping.

    Rating: 4 / 5

  4. I agree with everyone else that Bomberman Live does not work off the disc. It will ask you to purchase this for 800 MS points. HOWEVER; I purchased this at $32, which gets me a wireless controller, geometery wars 2, lumines live. A wireless controller at most retail stores alone is $40-50. I did call 1-800-4my-xbox for support and they did issue me 800 MS points to buy bomberman, which to me is a sweet deal b/c I can spend these points on something better than bomberman. It did take about 20-25 minutes on the phone to get them to fix this. At first they wanted me to contact the retailer (amazon) that I bought the product from, but I refused telling them this was an xbox product and a technical issue. I also told them every review I read online has said the same thing I was telling them and that I could not believe that xbox support was not aware of this problem. After that, they stopped giving me hassel and gave me the points.

So if you can get this at $32 with free shipping like I did, this is a heck of a deal. Rating: 5 / 5

  5. I bought this pack for the great deal on 4 Xbox Live Arcade games and a controller, but I was deeply disappointed. Bomberman Live will not play! It requires an update that won’t work. You have 2 options when you select to play Bomberman Live: Update or Exit. If you choose update, you are taken to the marketplace screen to purchase the game for 800 MS Points.

I contacted Xbox Support and even talked to their Twitter team. They were NO HELP. They told me there was no solution due to the “complexity” of the issue. What does that even mean?

This bundle is false advertising as far as I’m concerned. I returned it. Buyer beware. Rating: 1 / 5
