Not much of a fun Amazon Gold Box deal when it’s over in the time it takes for a webpage to open and add it to the cart (with a cable modem)! I’d rather wait in a Wal-Mart line for 1 or 2 hours because the chances of getting the product are better and more fair to the customers. Rating: 1 / 5
Why would anyone see the value in purchasing an XBOX:
You can’t upgrade the hard drive…most XBOX consoles don’t come with hard drives.
There is no built in wi-fi…it will cost you $99.
You must pay for online service if you don’t want to get bombarded with ads…it will cost you $50 annually.
You can’t watch high definition blu-ray movies on it.
The games are limited to the size of a DVD at 9gb…the PS3 can store 50gb on the blu-ray disc.
The controllers are infrared…ancient technology and takes batteries….it will cost you to constantly replace the batteries.
The Jasper is still plagued by the constant failure of the RROD…plan on sending your unit in for constant repairs/replacements…the XBOX has overt a 50% failure rate.
For $299 you are getting ripped off…..you are paying for far less features….It’s like you’re paying them to rip you off, you might as well buy them the Vaseline while you’re at it.
BUY A PS3 INSTEAD…and thank everyone who told you too.

I purchased this last week and there are no arcade games included as per item description states comes with this system!I called Microsoft and all I got was the run around about how I had to deal with Amazon and there was nothing they would do for me-all I wanted was the game disc with the arcade games!Amazon was not any better-They told me to ship the whole unit back and they would send me a new one which meant no game playing for my son for at least another 2 weeks while I waited for a new one to arrive and them to receive my old one!Then who knows whether the new one they send will have the game disc in it!All i want is the Game disc with the 5 arcade games on it and they won’t do it!Terrible customer service from Amazon and Microsoft. Got this console for my son for Xmas. Is chewing up his games, something wrong with the CD Rom drive.
Although it is under warranty, unable to get into the website to get support. TWeb site says to call an 800 number which in turn tells you to go back the web site that doesn’t let you in.
I have the reciept, have the original box, but apparently this isn’t good enough, because you can’t even talk to someone about it! Don’t do it! Don’t waste any money on this game system or games….What a piece of…. I still have the original Nintendo game system and it works, in fact all the Nintendo systems still work!!!. Think about QUALITY and steer away from this.
